Switsongo B&B – Terms & Conditions

 1. Reservations & Payment

• Reservations are confirmed only upon receipt of a deposit or full payment, as specified at the time of booking.
• Any outstanding balance must be settled on or before check-in.
• Switsongo B&B reserves the right to cancel reservations if payment terms are not met.

2. Check-in & Check-out

• Check-in: from 14:00 to 19:00, unless otherwise arranged in advance.
• Check-out: by 10:00 on the day of departure.
• Early check-in or late check-out is subject to prior approval and availability.

3. Cancellations & No-shows

• Cancellations made up to 14 days prior to arrival: deposit will be refunded in full.
• Cancellations made within 14 days of arrival: 50% of the booking value will be charged.
• Cancellations made within 48 hours of arrival or no-shows: 100% of the booking value will be charged.

4. Children & Additional Guests

• Children of 6 years or older are welcome but must be supervised by an adult at all times.
• For the comfort of other guests we do not allow children under 6 years old.
• The maximum occupancy per room is specified at the time of booking.
• Additional guests are only permitted with prior approval and may incur extra charges.

5. House Rules

• Smoking is strictly prohibited inside rooms and indoor areas. Designated smoking area is available.
• Pets are not permitted.
• Please note: no braai/barbecue facilities are available, and self-catering is not allowed.
• Guests are requested to respect the peace and privacy of fellow guests and neighbours on the premisis and in the Wildlife Estate.

6. Liability

• Guests use all facilities at their own risk. Switsongo B&B accepts no responsibility for loss, theft, damage, or injury incurred during the stay.
• Guests are advised to ensure all doors and windows are securely locked when leaving their room.
• It is recommended that guests arrange appropriate travel insurance.

7. Wildlife Estate Rules

• Guests are required to comply with the rules of Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate at all times.
• Feeding or disturbing wildlife is strictly prohibited.
• Driving is permitted only on designated roads, and all speed limits must be observed.

8. Right of Admission & Termination of Stay

• Management reserves the right of admission.
• Switsongo B&B reserves the right to terminate a stay without refund in cases of non-compliance with these Terms & Conditions or in the event of disruptive, damaging, or unsafe behaviour.

9. Force Majeure

• Switsongo B&B cannot be held liable for events beyond its control, including but not limited to power outages (load shedding), water supply interruptions, or extreme weather conditions.

10. Governing Law

• These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
